Poet Robert Frost Visited His Future Wife at St. Lawrence

Poet Robert Frost unexpectedly visited his future wife, Elinor White, who was attending St. Lawrence University in the late 1890s, to try to pursuade her to quit college and marry him.

Elinor only agreed to marry him after she graduated from St. Lawrence.
