Noon in the Chapel to Celebrate Christmas
St. Lawrence University’s Noon in the Chapel will celebrate Music for Christmas, beginning at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, in Gunnison Memorial Chapel. The performance is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, St. Lawrence’s organist and musician-in-residence, as well as Abigail Evans ’20 on violin, the Ad Hoc Singers comprised of Alexandra Jacobs Wilke, Julia Pomainville, Chris Rediehs and Galen Pletcher.
The performance will include a number of classic holiday songs, such as "Hodie Christus Natus Est," a Gregorian chant, "In dulci jublio," a carol from the Middle Ages,Mendelssohn's "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing," Daquin's "Noël." The concert will conclude with a sing-along of "O Come, All Ye Faithful."
Parking for chapel events will be in H-Lot, across from Griffiths Arts Center and next to Vilas Hall. There also will be a drop-off location and limited handicapped parking spaces in front of Richardson Hall and at the front of the chapel.
