Geology Prof. Speaks at College, at Conference
Jeffrey Chiarenzelli, Charles A. Dana Professor of Geology, spoke to the Atmospheric and Geological Sciences Program at the State University of New York at Oswego on April 2 and at the Geological Survey of Canada in Ottawa on April 18.
The subject of both lectures was new advances in our understanding of the origin, provenance, basin evolution, and metallogenesis of metasedimentary rocks in the Adirondack Region.
Chiarenzelli is an alumnus of Carleton University in Ottawa and had the opportunity to visit with his master’s thesis advisor J. A. Donaldson. He was hosted by Rob Rainbird of the Geological Survey of Canada.
