Environmental Studies Prof. Publishes Peer-Review Article
Sara Ashpole, assistant professor of environmental studies, was the lead author of a published article in a special edition of the journal Diversity.
The article is titled "Reconnecting Amphibian Habitat through Small Pond Construction and Enhancement, South Okanagan River Valley, British Columbia, Canada," and was published in the September 2018 edition.
Ashpole is a leading expert in Canada in amphibian and reptile conservation. In September, she attended a Canadian Minister Appointment in the assessment of species threat; was invited Road Ecology Panelist and poster presenter for one of British Columbia's biggest mitigation project; presented four posters at the Canadian Herpetologist Society (two being St. Lawrence student projects); and, attended a meeting as the IUCN Canadian Co-Chair for the Amphibian Survivalist Group.
