Economics Prof. To Present at Beijing Forum
Cynthia Bansak, Charles A. Dana Professor of Economics and co-chair of the economics department, will present and serve as a panelist on Nov. 3 during the Beijing Forum 2019, “Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All: The Changing World and the Future of Humankind.”
The Beijing Forum is an annual event placed under the auspices of the Beijing Municipal Government. It is endorsed by the State Council and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and is co-sponsored by Peking University, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, and the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies. The forum encourages the study of the humanities and social sciences in the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to facilitate international academic exchanges and trans-cultural discussions in order to foster social development, harmony between civilizations, and greater prosperity for mankind.
Bansak will serve as a panelist during the Liberal Education and Professional Education session and present “Teaching Economics in a Liberal Arts College: Children's Literature, Storytelling, and Money: Interdisciplinary Experiential Learning for All Ages.”
