Conservation Biology Databases

  • This resource is composed of illustrated accounts for more than 700 bird species nesting in the U.S. or Canada. Information for each species includes systematics, behavior, breeding, food habits, migration, distribution, habitat, sounds, appearance, measurements, and other distinguishing characteristics. Searches of the database can use either bird name or topic word. Browsing accounts is done through taxonomic group or alphabetical name.

  • Environment Complete contains more than 2.5 million records from more than 2,350 domestic and international titles dating back to 1888 (including over 1,350 active core titles). The database contains full text for more than 930 journals, including many of the most used journals in the discipline, such as Environment (back to 1975), Ecologist, Conservation Biology, etc.

  • Science Citation Index Expanded is a multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of the sciences which is now available via the Web of Science platform. It fully indexes over 6,650 major journals across 150 scientific disciplines and includes all cited references captured from indexed articles.

  • Multidisciplinary information from high impact journals and conference proceedings.  Includes the Web of Science Core Collection (Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index) and Zoological Record.
