Introduction

Course-related research instruction is offered by librarians at the request of faculty members for courses at all levels. While the development of library skills is an integral part of the curriculum of the First Year Program, introducing students to research as well as to critical and evaluative skills and the continued development and honing of these skills is a four-year process. Course-related instruction is one way to accomplish this.

Some possible topics for inclusion are: finding articles, books, videos and digital collections using Discovery, using journal databases to locate scholarly, peer-reviewed articles, differentiating between primary and secondary sources, and organizing and sharing sources using the Zotero bibliographic management tool.

To arrange for course-related instruction or for information contact a member of our library instruction group.
