Welcome, Avery Olearczyk!

Avery Olearczyk has just joined the St. Lawrence University Libraries as Research Fellowship Librarian. Avery comes from Charlotte, North Carolina where she worked most recently as the Teen Services Librarian at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Library. She received a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2018, and earned a B.S. degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Guilford College, also in Greensboro.

As Research Fellowship Librarian, Avery will work in many departments throughout ODY and Launders Science Library.  Librarians in each area will mentor her as well as learn from her as she gains exposure to the key functions of an academic library.  This is the first time the Libraries have offered this three-semester opportunity and we’re very optimistic that it will prove to be a win-win for all involved.

Avery is looking forward to working with our students and faculty and becoming part of the St. Lawrence University Community.  Please welcome her as the newest member of our team!
