Research Prize Winners

This year's North Country Research Prize winners were announced at the FODYLL Commencement Lecture, and we were able to honor three thoroughly researched convincingly argued essays.

The winners are:

2018 Science Award—“Sprucing Up Conservation: A Case Study of Declining Adirondack Spruce Grouse Population” by Hattie Geist ('18), Margaret Kelly ('18), and Jessica LaMay ('18)

2018 Social Science Award—”Uncovering Paradise: The Impoverishment of Communities in the Adirondack State Park, New York and Watamu Marine National Park, Kenya” by Maeghan Connor ('18)

2018 Humanities Award—“The Best We Can Do” by Maya Williams ('18)
