New in Special Collections

Published in 2016 by Princeton University Press, Gamwell wishes to explore the "mathematical-world-out-there."  She writes, "in Leibniz's day binary notation was an esoteric concept, known only to a few scholars, but today the use of binary notation in computers is familiar to any educated person. When the practice of mathematics is applied and popularized, mathematical concepts enter the studios and inspire artists."  Along with the great collections of poetry in Special Collections, we have titles about math and science that will inspire.  Why not stop by during this wintry November and see our Rare Book holds in mathematics and science?
