Since implementing Exchange Online Protection (EOP), the amount of spam being delivered to St. Lawrence inboxes has significantly decreased. This is a welcome change for many SLU faculty, staff, and students. However, it is important to remember that this increases the likelihood of legitimate email being filtered as junk.
St. Lawrence University is now a participating eduroam institution. Eduroam allows St. Lawrence faculty, staff and students to connect to the Internet at all eduroam institutions using their St. Lawrence email address and password. Information Technology will soon begin deploying a new security practice to all University owned computers: full disk encryption. Encrypting the entire contents of your hard drive prevents unauthorized access to your data should your computer be lost or stolen. It does not make you less susceptible to viruses and it is not effective if you log in to your computer and leave it unattended.
