Dr. Melissane Schrems teaches in SOAR group

Associate Professor of History Melissane Schrems is teaching a course throughout the SOAR group, "a member-directed learning group.”  SOAR is also one of almost 400 such lifelong learning groups affiliated with the Elderhostel Institute Network. The 350+ members of SOAR are “Third Age” adults, post-family and career people who are actively enjoying their lives. The course ”examines the tenets (beliefs, principles of religion and/or philosophy) of the American founders. It also looks at the Revolution’s causes, mythology vs. reality, conflicting ideologies, and at the fact that the conflict is never-ending."  Dr. Schrem’s course is held at the Silas Wright House: County Gallery.
