2019

  • Riley E. Whitney ’20 Wins National Poster Award at Geology Conference

2015

  • Eleanor Jones ’16 just received an NSF-funded scholarship to attend the North American Dendroecological Fieldweek in Maine this June. Eleanor will be learning about tree rings in an immersive environment where she will be a part of a small team that will develop a research project and see it through to completion (including a proceedings paper and presentation).  This 10-day field course will provide Eleanor all the basics she needs to help Dr. Stewart with a streamflow reconstruction project this fall using spruce trees in the Adirondacks (and hopefully motivate her for graduate work).
