Jill Pflugheber (SLU ’86) has been the Microscopy Specialist at St. Lawrence University since January 2004. Amongst other things, she teaches Biology 392, Research Methods in Fluorescence and Confocal Microscopy. Before returning to her alma mater, Jill worked in a variety of biomedical research labs from Harvard School of Public Health, to University of Kentucky, to University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Steven F. White is the co-editor with Luis Eduardo Luna of Ayahuasca Reader: Encounters with the Amazon's Sacred Vine. He also edited an anthology of eco-literature from Latin America for Review: Literature and Arts of the Americas as well as El consumo de lo que somos: muestra de poesía ecológica hispánica contemporánea. In 2007, he produced an ecocritical bilingual edition of Seven Trees against the Dying Light by Nicaraguan poet Pablo Antonio Cuadra. He has been teaching in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at St. Lawrence University since 1987.
