Marina Thornbury is from Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada. She is a ballet dancer, finds joy in volunteering, and is planning on majoring in Biology. She is an active and passionate Laurentian, involved with the Roteract, a club “part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding of the world through involvement in the community and international service”, and Seed to Table, a group of individuals that provide food to the greater community to fight food injustice while also giving students a place to learn about growing their own food. She is also involved in the Student Alumni Association as a member of the Advancement Ambassadors subcommittee. In the FYS Research Exchange Committee, She holds the position of Presentation Coordinator and is also a member of the Logistics and Planning subcommittee and the Social Media and Marketing subcommittee.
