Academic Advising - Peer Tutor

Job Description/Duties: Respond to tutoring requests through the office of Academic Advising; arrange tutoring sessions; meet regularly, generally for an hour, in one-on-one sessions. Maintain updated knowledge of course materials. Attend monthly tutor trainings. Submit brief session documentation online. (This is a paid position, generally 5- 7 hrs/wk.)

Special Skills Needed: Must be committed to helping students learn how to become more independent, effective learners. Must have earned a grade of 3.25 or higher in the course(s) tutored, and must maintain an overall 3.0 or higher GPA.

Available Hours: flexible
