Canton Village Advisory Committee on Public Safety Open Forum

Monday, February 22, 2021 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Virtual

On Monday February 22nd at 7:00pm, the Village of Canton’s Advisory Committee on Public Safety, is hosting an open forum at St. Lawrence University. The purpose of the forum is to explain the process and get feedback on the recommendations that the Committee developed in response to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order 203, which requires local governments in New York State to adopt a policing reform plan by April 01, 2021. The intended outcome is to strengthen policies and community relations between residents, including the colleges, and the Canton Police Department. The forum will be moderated by committee member Kimberly Flint-Hamilton, Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, and committee co-chair and Village trustee Beth Larrabee, Associate Director of the Center for Career Excellence. If you have feedback you’d like to share, you can share it via this survey, which closes on February 23rd.
