The St. Lawrence University Admissions Office seeks students who are curious, care about our world, and ready to immerse themselves in our active and supportive community.
Our admissions review process is about getting to know you as a person, not a test score or multiple-choice response. That’s why we consider all aspects of your application. Your academic achievement is important, but so are the other activities and achievements that make you who you are.

Outdoor Experiences
Both on campus and locally, St. Lawrence students constantly discover ways to learn from the landscape and have fun outdoors. Our campus is home to the second oldest Outing Club in the nation, and it’s members host numerous traditions and expeditions that welcome all students on outdoor adventures big and small. Meanwhile, some of the best hiking, skiing, and paddling that the northeast has to offer is only a short drive from campus.

Here We Go Saints: Athletics at St. Lawrence
St. Lawrence students are vibrant and active in every season. They love to get outside and go just as much as they love cheering on their fellow Saints on (and off) the field, court, track, or rink.
The Saints Athletics Department includes 34 varsity programs which span both NCAA Division I (men's and women's ice hockey) and Division III, in addition to a few non-divisional and non-NCAA programs.
Roughly one-third of our students are varsity athletes, which creates a supportive environment to balance academic adventures with athletic endeavors. We also offer student-run club and intramural sports, an active Outing Club, and a range of activities —from yoga and meditation to fly fishing and sunrise hiking—through other student organizations.
