CSTEP & McNair Students Participate in Career Symposium

Students in St. Lawrence University's Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) and McNair Scholars Program participated in the Annual Career Exploration Symposium and Celebration Dinner at the State University of New York at Potsdam on February 27.
The symposium is an annual event held by the Northern New York CSTEP and STEP network which consists of Clarkson University, SUNY Canton, SUNY Potsdam, and St. Lawrence University.

Students had the opportunity to participate in career exploration workshops and network with professionals in a range of fields, including engineering, law, medicine and public health as well as in math and science education. Xiomalys Crespo '16, a former Gilman Scholar, gave a presentation on “How to Fund Your Travel Abroad” experience which was highly attended. The celebration dinner included remarks from each of the university's outstanding seniors. Government major Nyima Dejesus '16 represented St. Lawrence and shared how CSTEP & McNair have supported her throughout her undergraduate career.
