Grants Workshop: Finding Funding to Support a Sabbatical
The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations/Sponsored Research is hosting a workshop on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Sullivan Student Center 336 on Finding Funding to Support a Sabbatical Leave.
Liz Haney and Carol Smith will give a presentation about funding opportunities to support sabbatical leaves, strategies for planning for a sabbatical leave, and tips for developing a competitive proposal for a sabbatical fellowship opportunity. They will also take questions and leave time for brainstorming.
Lunch will be provided via vouchers to the Northstar Cafe. Please arrive early or right on time to allow time to get your lunch.
All faculty are welcome to attend, regardless of when a leave is anticipated, and RSVP is not required.
C&F Helpful Hint: Start applying for funding more than a year in advance of a planned sabbatical leave. This allows time to resubmit proposals after receiving feedback from the funder, and can increase your likelihood of success.
