Before applying to the LINC program, please read the brochure describing the program. Student participants in the program will be ambassadors to alumni as well as benefiting from the mentoring relationship. This can be an incredibly rewarding experience for students, but it is essential that you will have the time and commitment to prepare for your interactions with your mentor and to maintain the relationship with your mentor over the course of the year. All students selected to the program will attend an orientation session, create or update their resume, and attend workshops on career research, informational interviewing, networking, and professional etiquette in the fall in preparation for meetings with their mentor.
All applications must be received and LINC Group Discussion sign-ups must be completed by midnight on Monday, April 8th. Only students with complete applications (webform with application statement and career goals statement AND resume) will be considered for participation. Students can find the LINC Group Discussion on the Events list in Handshake at a variety of days/times between Wednesday, April 10 - Sunday, April 28. Be sure to "Join" one of the group discussions by the deadline date/time (If all of the slots are filled up prior to the April 8 deadline, please email Sarah Coburn to request a new group discussion session).
Rising sophomore students will be informed as to whether or not they have been selected to participate in the program over the summer months and must be available during the kickoff weekend in Fall 2019.
