What are the Career and Internship Connections (CICs)?

  • CICs are career fair and interview days in NYC, DC, Boston, and Los Angeles held over the January break
  • The events have a morning career fair open to all undergraduates from the consortium schools and afternoon pre-arranged interviews (that you apply for AHEAD of time – by 11/30/15)

Why should I go?

  • Many of these employers will not be traveling to our campus, but will be happy to meet with you in their local city. These events are an excellent opportunity to network and interview face-to-face with prospective internship and full-time employers.

CIC events allows students to network and interview with companies in New York, Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles! This is the 17th year of the consortium events (it includes 17 other schools). Last year's events boasted over 350+ employers and more than 500 job and internship postings!

Student Registration Now Open!

Registering for the events early means you’ll get updated information on the events, employers attending, and jobs posted. You can also create search agents to send you postings in particular cities and/or fields, follow employers and events to get notifications and updates, and a host of other cool Handshake platform features.

Register and apply for positions here:

  1. Click “Career and Internship Connection Consortium Sign On”
  2. Click “Need an account” and create a Student account using your college assigned email address. Registrations without a college email address will be declined.
  3. Wait for your account approval notification to your email (processed at least once a day during regular business days)
  4. YOU NEED TO HAVE CAREER AND INTERNSHIP CONNECTION LISTED AS YOUR PRIMARY EDUCATION in order to apply for positions! Do not remove this education on your profile, under this you will need to select the college you attend under “College” and enter your GPA and the closest thing to your academic majors. As we serve 18 colleges, we do not have every single major in the system, so find the closest, your applications will be evaluated more on your resume upload than your profile. Failure to have this listed on your profile will prevent you from being able to apply to interviews and postings.
  5. RSVP to the events under the “Fairs” listings
  6. Apply for interview consideration by searching the jobs posted to the Handshake system!
  7. As long as you have the CIC listed as your primary education, you’ll still be able to add in your other college information into your educational record, it just won’t be your primary education.

Visit and click on the cities to get the lists of companies registered so far. As always, Career Services is ready to assist as you create resumes, navigate the CIC web system and prepare for CIC interviews.
