The Center for Career Excellence has many resources, services, and programs available to assist students in exploring and researching various fields and career options.
- Handshake is our main career management platform that all students have access to and will use to search for internships, jobs, programs and events, and locate key resources like Focus2, CareerShift, Vault, Resume and Cover Letter Guides, and many more. Use the search feature to locate what you’re looking for.
- Navigating Handshake & Creating Your Profile video
- Searching for SLU Connected Opportunities in Handshake video - Focus2 combines self-assessment, career and major exploration, decision-making and action planning in one comprehensive product. The self-assessment section is a great place to start your exploration.
- Career Exploration Software Overview: Focus2 video - Vault provides in-depth information on an industry, company, or profession—and how to position yourself to launch and build the career you want. We highly recommend students review the Vault Guides to specific industries of interest (at the St. Lawrence University Vault site and then select the “Guides” tab at the top).
