Biology Department Receives National Science Foundation Grant!

The Biology Department was awarded the National Science Foundation grant of $282,390 for support of the project "MRI: Acquisition of Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope for Research and Training in the Biological Sciences.” This project is under the direction of Joe Erlichman, Ana Estevez, Cintia Hongay (Clarkson), Mike Temkin and Jill Pflugheber. The new Nikon C2+ confocal microscope will replace the current aging Leica SP2 microscope which is used in Biol 392 Research Methods in Fluorescence and Confocal Microscopy, senior research projects, and in various other biology course lab modules. Congratulations!
