On Monday, October 29, 2018 a packed Peterson-Kermani Auditorium viewed Miki Dezaki's new documentary film titled "Shusenjo: The Main Battleground of the Comfort Women Issue." The film has been screened at the prestigious 2018 Busan International Film Festival and St. Lawrence University became one of the first US venues to screen the film, thanks to the initiative of Professor Makiko Deguchi, Visiting Fulbright Research Fellow and former Assistant Professor of Psychology at St. Lawrence.

After the screening, the Director discussed various aspects of his film with the audience. He also visited several Asian Studies courses offered through the departments of Art & Art History, Government, and Religious Studies.
