I am from Canton, NY. Since both of my parents are/were professors at St. Lawrence, when I was younger I would always be exploring campus but, it wasn't until I started at St. Lawrence, that I really became interested in art and began to explore the different art media. I knew after taking several classes, that this was something that I truly enjoyed.

I spend most of my free time at the local barn where I board my horse. I relish the thrill and challenge of horse shows and competitive show jumping. I work as an assistant/monitor for the St. Lawrence Brush Art Gallery. Last summer I was an intern for the North Country Children's Museum and I volunteered at TAUNY (Traditional Arts of Upstate New York), a nonprofit organization showcasing folk culture and traditions of New York's North Country.

I am particularly interested in how the artist portrays self-image and the internal struggle through their art. So far, my favorite media are sculpture and printmaking. I am still undecided on what I want to do in the future but I would like to pursue a career that involves art or design.
