Visiting Professor Sarah Smith Joins AAH

Sarah Smith has joined the faculty at St. Lawrence as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Photography and Video after leaving a lecturer position at Murray State University. Sarah earned her MA and MFA from The University of Iowa in 2013. While working in both still photography and Super 8mm, her research and creative work investigates our expectations and attachment to personal photographic images and archives. She’s interested in the undue trust in foreverness that photographs are often associated with. Her recent work was shown in a solo exhibition titled, “I Can’t Love Nobody Else But You”, at the Sheetz Gallery at Penn State Altoona. For more information, check out Saraha's website here
