Professor Brezault and Professor DeGroat Present at Conference

At the annual conference of the American Comparative Literature Association (ALCA), Assistant Professor of Francophone African Studies Eloise Brezault co-organized a seminar on “Memory as Colonial Capital.” Professor Brezault presented a paper titled “The Value of Memory in Selected Testimonies about the Civil Wars in Africa.” She was also joined on the panel by Associate Professor of History Judith DeGroat who presented a paper titled “History, Testimony and Memory: The Algerias of Pauline Roland and Assia Djebar.”
