Should You Apply Early Decision?
Have you found yourself thinking that St. Lawrence is your top choice school? You should apply Early Decision.
We get to know a lot of students. Those who applied Early Decision all say it was the best decision they ever made. Why? Because every experience so far - from the First-Year Program to campus activities, from internships with well-connected alumni to the classroom environment - confirms that St. Lawrence is a place where they can shape their own success. We empower students to discover new interests, develop existing ones, and find opportunities for meaningful growth.
Early Decision allows you to make your college choice and to then enjoy the rest of your senior year. Here's what you need to know:
- We do ED differently. You can apply any time between August 1 and February 1.
- We'll start reading applications around November 1, and we'll send out decision letters every two weeks for ED applicants.
- You should apply when your application is the best it can be - that may be this summer, or after you've visited colleges this fall, or after you put the finishing touches on your essay over a holiday break. It's up to you.
- Regardless of when you apply, you will be considered for merit scholarships and need-based financial aid (if you've submitted your FAFSA, which opens on October 1). We'll include information about your financial aid award with your decision letter.
