Merit Scholarships

Each year, St. Lawrence awards tens of millions of dollars in merit scholarships and need-based financial aid. Each student can only be awarded one merit scholarship. If a student qualifies for more than one, the most prestigious scholarship will be awarded.

As part of your application review, you will automatically be considered for each of the following four scholarships:

The Trustee Scholarship is awarded to the top male and top female first-year students. The scholarship is based on academic excellence, character and leadership and the amount covers full tuition for up to four years or eight semesters.

The Momentum Scholarship is awarded based on academic and extracurricular achievements, character, and citizenship. This $140,000 scholarship ($35,000 per year) is awarded for up to four years or eight semesters.

The Sesquicentennial Scholarship is awarded based on academic and extracurricular achievements, character, and citizenship. Named in honor of St. Lawrence's 150th anniversary, this $120,000 scholarship ($30,000 per year) is awarded for up to four years or eight semesters.

The University Scholarship is awarded based on academic and extracurricular achievements, as well as character and citizenship. This $100,000 scholarship ($25,000 per year) is awarded for up to four years or eight semesters.
