Never before in the long-spanning history of the Java Barn has a show had to be canceled due to a pandemic. Canceling a Java show was once a rare occasion; reserved for a band blowing a tire on the drive up, or a DJ not coming prepared with their equipment.
The St. Lawrence Blog
Who is St. Lawrence University? We are a group of people with countless adventures and even more stories. The St. Lawrence Blog gives our students, faculty and staff the chance to tell their tales, in their own words and in their own way. Sharing these anecdotes in one place gives our community the chance to show how creative, daring and passionate we are about what we do. Alone, these stories are powerful; together they define St. Lawrence.

St. Lawrence in the Fall
Autumn is my favorite time of year and there is nothing more beautiful than St. Lawrence in the fall. The leaves turn all sorts of wonderful colors: reds, oranges, browns, and yellows! There are also great events on campus.
Kenya: Life Beyond Learning
The Kenya study abroad semester is one of the oldest St. Lawrence abroad programs, as it just celebrated its 40th reunion this past summer. The compound where students stay was the first of any United States University in sub-Saharan Africa.
How I ACEed Finding my Passion at SLU
As a sophomore, I first heard about the Association for Campus Entertainment (ACE) when they advertised that Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, my favorite band, would be performing a 10th anniversary concert at St. Lawrence that winter.
Getting Involved with Student Government
In high school I got involved with my student government, mostly because it was something that my friends were also involved in (and also because it would get me out of homeroom). Over the course of my four years, I ended up in higher positions and found I was really having an influence on my
Three Things You Should Know about Theme Houses at St. Lawrence
There are plenty of awesome places to live on campus these days at SLU (apart from just the new dorm), but I wanted to talk about what I believe to be one of our more unique living options: our theme houses. This is not just because I live in one, but because so many of our students do.

It's that time of the year again! In mid-September, more than 100 sophomores, juniors and seniors at St.
