The St. Lawrence Blog

Who is St. Lawrence University? We are a group of people with countless adventures and even more stories. The St. Lawrence Blog gives our students, faculty and staff the chance to tell their tales, in their own words and in their own way. Sharing these anecdotes in one place gives our community the chance to show how creative, daring and passionate we are about what we do. Alone, these stories are powerful; together they define St. Lawrence.

The month of November is always a time of reflection for me. Midterms are finished, there is a slight lull in the semester, and I can look back on how far I have come and how quickly the time has passed.

There’s nothing better than walking by a kitchen smelling warm cookies. Something about the scent makes you feel at home. My friends and I love to bake in the kitchens around campus.  We have baked everything from birthday cakes to peanut buttercup and cookie dough brownies.

It was almost three years ago when I was packing for college with my mother. It was my last day in Germany, and clothes were scattered all over my bedroom floor.
