Writing Center tutors are hired only upon recommendation from faculty members. The Writing Center Director solicits recommendations each spring. Students recommended by faculty will be asked to submit an application and a writing sample, as well as come for an interview.
Writing Center Tutors
The Munn Writing Center is student staffed. While many of our tutors are English writing majors, our tutors come from various disciplinary backgrounds, including Fine Arts, History, Psychology, Government, Economics, Sociology, and Environmental Studies. During the fall of 2004, the writing center is staffed by ten seniors, nine juniors, and four sophomores. Seven of our tutors are abroad this semester. phoW
