Munn Writing Center @ SLU

Writing Center Statistics and Comments

The Writing Center keeps close track of the number of students who visit the Writing Center, the types of assignments they bring in, and the departments they're studying in. Here are some statistics we've gathered in the last few years, along with some comments students who've visited the Writing Center have offered on our Tutor Evaluation forms.

Statistics

This past semester, Fall 2003, the Writing Center held 772 tutorials, an increase over last year's totals of 645 in the spring and 751 in the fall. Almost half of those 772 tutorials (328) were visits by first-year students, with sophomores, seniors, and juniors trailing (in that order). Remember that the Writing Center is not just for first-years; we'd love to see more of you upperclass students, too!
