Senior Staff Personnel Announcement

Dear Laurentian community,

Vice President and Dean of Student Life Hagi Bradley has informed me that after a long period of reflection, he has made the difficult decision to leave his position at St. Lawrence at the end of June to focus on his recovery from major medical issues he has experienced over the past two years.

Hagi has made a positive impact on the Laurentian community since his arrival on campus during the summer of 2019. His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic helped guide our safe return to campus and a more vibrant student experience. Over the course of his four years with us, Hagi has been a champion for student well-being. He has led our partnership with the JED foundation to become a JED campus and has worked to increase mental health resources for students. Hagi has also been instrumental in developing the St. Lawrence First-Gen Initiative that supports and celebrates first-generation college students. His home-cooked Thanksgiving meals for the students who stayed on campus during the break brought a bit of his home state of Louisiana to the North Country and were always a great success and full of delicious foods.

I’m certain you’ll join me in recognizing that Hagi’s commitment to our students has been unparalleled,  in thanking Hagi for his time at St. Lawrence, and in wishing him the best of luck on his recovery and future endeavors. I know that our students have great appreciation for the support and encouragement he provided them, and we will all miss his energy, enthusiasm, and optimistic outlook on life. He has brought smiles and warmth to so many hearts in our community.

You will hear more from me soon regarding the process to identify our next leader in student life.

 Sincerely,

Kate Morris
