Eva Wetzel

Assistant Director of ADK Semester Outdoor Studies

Eva will say she grew up in the Pioneer Valley in Western Massachusetts, also referred to as the ‘Happy Valley’. The outdoors played a huge role in her childhood, with many camping, hiking, canoeing, backpacking, and various other adventures with her small-town community friends. Eva’s start of ‘official’ outdoor training took the form of the Outdoor Leadership Program run through Greenfield Community College in Western MA. She graduated from Earlham College with a BA in Geology, throughout which she enjoyed being heavily involved in outdoor education and studying small metals. A variety of interests and hobbies aside from outdoor education has driven her trail through life so far, such as travel, cooking, studio art/creating, gardening, and of course, close friends. Eva most recently came from work as a Wilderness Therapy Guide in Vermont.
