President Daniel F. Sullivan and Ann H. Sullivan hosted a
reception on January 8 for current and retired faculty and staff, as well
as community friends, to celebrate President Emeritus Frank Piskor's 90th
birthday. Dr. Piskor learned that he will receive the 2006 North Country Citation
at Commencement this May.

Trustee Susan Johnson '66 and John B. Johnson Jr., editor and publisher of
the Watertown Daily Times, greet Dr. Piskor. The Times featured
an editorial honoring Dr. Piskor.

Associate Professor Emeritus Richard Metcalf and his wife Kathy were among
the many retired faculty and staff to attend the reception.

Trustee Janet Langlois '71, with her husband George Vollmuth, remembered her
times working as a student assistant in Vilas Hall and Dr. Piskor's gracious
interest in all students.

Dr. Piskor thanks his many friends and colleagues, noting that every president
stands on the shoulders of those who came before and those who work alongside
in partnership.
