Sustainability feature: Gray bench tops to reflect sunlight both contribute to energy savings in this classroom/lab for general chemistry.

A general biology classroom/lab.

Interior glass allows visibility into the lab as well as natural daylight into the hallway.

Office door with side glass - both frosted so faculty can have some privacy but still allow outside light into the hallway.

Fume hoods near the exterior building walls have glass-sided hoods so as to not block the daylight coming into the room. This feature also allows better monitoring of the student work as a safety enhancement.

The connection to third floor Bewkes Hall, which is considerably lower due to differing floor to ceiling heights between the two buildings. This will be a nice lounging area with some casual furniture and lots of sunshine.

The same space viewed from Bewkes Hall.

Installing third floor hallway ceiling tiles and light fixtures. The lights will wash the wall fully to illuminate the numerous tack boards for displaying student/faculty research posters.

The greenhouse features three growing rooms, all with supplemental lighting. Control boxes mounted in each room will allow computer monitoring and control. The greenhouse even has its own weather station.
