Paul Jamieson taught me a great deal about the Adirondacks. He was a constant contributor to the Adirondack Conferences sponsored by St.Lawrence and his tour on eskers was a classic. Anyone who paddles and enjoys being on Adirondack lakes, rivers and streams benefits from the work of this pathfinder. His writings will remain a treasure for all who knew him. Al Splete'60
I never met Paul, but his voice came through vividly in his canoe guides. I often paddle alone, and it felt like I had great company, especially the small personal notes he included and the bits of history. It's been a tough couple of years
regional letters, losing elder voices such as Grace Hudowalski, Barbara McMartin, and now Paul Jamieson. I hope folks will commemorate their passing by buying and reading their books and keeping them current in our thoughts about the Adirondacks. Best - Brian Mann
