Roslyn Walker, senior curator of the arts of Africa, the Pacific and
the Americas and
the Margaret McDermott curator of African art at the Dallas Museum
of Art, will give a lecture titled "Anonymous Has a Name: Olowe
of Ise" on Monday, September 5, at 7 p.m. in Room 123 of the Griffiths
Arts Center at St. Lawrence University. The event is open to the

James W. Hutchison guest recitalist at
St. Lawrence University for 2005, and will present a lecture and
recital on "The Keyboard Music of J.S. Bach" on Friday, September

St.
Lawrence University Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Computer
Science and Statistics Dan Gagliardi has teamed up with Bill Vitek,
professor of philosophy at Clarkson University to release an album
of jazz standards and originals, titled A Fine Line. Gagliardi
plays bass; Vitek, piano. For

In the News
St. Lawrence is once again included in U.S. News &
World Report's listing of the top 100 liberal arts institutions
in the nation, at Number 61, one place up from last year's listing.
The University is also included in the Princeton Review's
"Best 361 Colleges" listing, and is among that organization's
224 "Best in the Northeast" institution. In the
Princeton Review, the students say they're happy and they love
the small classes, great library and athletic facilities, and
school spirit. |
