The
Winston Room, formerly the Laurentian Room, in the Student Center,
was dedicated to Chair of the Board Larry Winston and Sally A. Winston,
at ceremonies February 25. A large crowd of family, friends, trustees,
faculty, staff and students gathered to thank the Winstons for their
generosity to St. Lawrence.

An
Open House in the renovated Noble Center on February 25 shared with
trustees, faculty, staff and student guests the new spaces for fine
arts, music and speech and theatre classes.

Pianist Gustavo Tolosa will present
a workshop and concert during St. Lawrence University's Piano
Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6. The workshop
will be on Saturday, March 5, at 11 a.m. in Gilbert Recital
Hall, Griffiths Arts Center, and the concert will be on Sunday,
March 6, at 2 p.m., also in Gilbert Recital Hall. Both are
open to the public, free of charge.

Rick Bass, author of 18 books of fiction
and non-fiction, will speak and read from his work in an
appearance at St. Lawrence University on Thursday, March
10, at 8 p.m. in Eben Holden. The event, part of the St.
Lawrence Writers Series, is open to the public, free of charge.

child abuse and maltreatment will be held at St. Lawrence
University on Tuesday, March 29, from 4 to 6:45 p.m. in Atwood
Hall, Room 31.

Scholarship
and Achievements
Fifteen members of the Model United Nations
at St. Lawrence participated in the Harvard National Model United
Nations Conference held in Boston in February, 2005.
