First-year student Amr Khaled Khalifa captured the St. Lawrence University men's squash program's first individual national title with a 3-0 win in the College Squash Association Individual Championship in Hartford, Conn., Sunday. Khalifa swept top-seeded Todd Harrity, a senior from Princeton, in the Pool Division championship match. Full Story |

| 'Make March Count' Young Alumni Challenge Begins March 1 The Make March Count Challenge between St. Lawrence, Union College, Skidmore College and Hobart and William Smith Colleges will take place March 1 through March 31. In addition to first-year Amr Khaled Khalifa's national championship, several men's and women's squash players also competed at the CSA Nationals this weekend. The women's hockey team defeated Quinnipiac in a hard-fought three game series, winning the first game 1-0 (OT), dropping the second game 3-2 (3OT), and then taking the clincher 2-0 Sunday, to advance to the ECAC Hockey semifinals next weekend. Men's lacrosse defeated Haverford in their first game of the season, 11-5. Men's tennis moved to 4-1 on the season with a 9-0 victory over Division II Saint Michael's and a 6-3 victory over Ithaca. Women's tennis was edged by the Bombers, 5-4. The men's and women's track and field teams competed at the ECAC Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, with Divya Biswal '15 earning the Saints their only individual title. Men's hockey dropped both games in their final weekend of the regular season and will host Colgate in the first round of the ECAC Hockey tournament. Women's basketball returned to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2009 but fell to Tufts in the opening game, 57-32. More Saints Sports |
