| Nominations For St. Lawrence University's North Country Citation Sought Nominations are due January 25, 2013, for the 2013 North Country Citation awarded by St. Lawrence University. North Country Citations are presented to those members of the six counties of Northern New York (St. Lawrence, Lewis, Jefferson, Essex, Warren, and Franklin) who, through professional endeavor or personal example, contribute in special ways to improving the quality of life or fostering a sense of community in the region. It took a bit longer than expected, but the men's hockey team ended a five-game losing streak Saturday night at Appleton Arena with a 4-3 victory over RIT, recording the thousanth victory in program history. Women's hockey came back from break and beat No. 9 Northeastern 6-0 before dropping a tough 4-3 overtime decision to No. 5 Boston College.
