Students in the course Reading the American West, taught by Visiting Associate Professor of English Jill Talbot, interviewed a dozen people who either live and work in the west or write about the region, and have published the interviews on a website. Each student contacted a person currently living and working in the west, or a writer who has written about the west, in order to broaden their study beyond the classroom and the required fiction and nonfiction readings, film viewings and discussions. | An article about six students in the fall 2012 New York City Semester was included in the December 12, 2012 issue of the online newsletter of the Arts & Business Council of New York. Written by Executive Director Will Maitland Weiss and titled "Six Saints," the piece describes the projects of the students who completed internships with the organization during the semester. The St. Lawrence women's basketball team defeated Medaille College 70-57 and SUNY Canton 74-37 last week to close out the first semester with a four-game win streak and a 5-3 record. Men's basketball lost to Ithaca 82-63 in its last game before the break. Men's hockey out-shot Vermont 41-19, but lost 5-2. More Saints Sports |
