A goal by Ryan Grant '16 with 36 seconds left in regulation capped a comeback by men's soccer and gave the Saints a 3-2 win over No. 6 Rochester. The No. 9 Saints then downed Geneseo 3-1 Saturday to go to 4-0. Women's soccer improved to 3-0-1 with a scoreless tie against Cortland and a 4-0 win over Medaille. Football dropped a 20-7 decision to Norwich in its home opener. Volleyball went 1-3 in the Victory Promotions Invitational. Field hockey dropped a tough 1-0 overtime decision at home to Hartwick. At the Cardinal Classic, men's cross country had eight of the top 10 finishers and women's cross country had five of the top six finishers as both teams took titles. Jack Whelan '15 shot a 69, matching the lowest round since the program was reinstituted in 1999, as men's golf won the St. Lawrence Invitational. Women's golf placed sixth. Men's tennis placed third at the Flower City Tournament, defeating RPI and Oneonta, but losing to Roberts Wesleyan. Samantha Miller '15 and Suzanne Weinstein '16 won the B Draw Doubles title to pace women's tennis at the William Smith Tournament. More Saints Sports |
