The first issue of ASIANetwork Exchange: a Journal of Asian Studies in the Liberal Arts with Professor of Philosophy Erin McCarthy as co-editor has just been published online. McCarthy and co-editor Lisa Trivedi, associate professor of history at Hamilton College, have made significant changes to the flagship publication of ASIANetwork, a consortium of 165 liberal arts colleges with Asian Studies programs. Women's hockey extended its unbeaten streak to nine games with a 3-2 win and 1-1 tie with rival Clarkson. The Saints haven't lost a game since November 23. Men's hockey saw a 3-2 lead evaporate in the third period in a 4-3 loss at Clarkson. Women's swimming won both of its meets, beating Potsdam 164-110 and St. Michael's 122-101. The men's team lost its meets. Men's basketball went 3-0, downing Potsdam 73-42, RPI 100-82 and Union 68-66. Women's basketball beat RPI 72-56 and Union 49-47. Ashley-Kate Durham '13 and Caroline Barry '14 were the top finishers for the alpine skiing team at Bates. Caroline Carpenter '12 and Austin Meng '15 paced the nordic skiing team. Men's squash beat Bates 8-1 and George Washingon 7-2, but fell to Western Ontario 7-2, Navy 6-3 and Franklin and Marshall 6-3. Women's squash went 1-3 on the week. Men's track won its own SLU Invitational, while women's track placed second. More Saints Sports |
