| SLU North Country Symposium To Focus On Regional Economic Development Council St. Lawrence University's 10th North Country Symposium will be held on campus Monday, October 31, allowing participants to strategize on "Working with the North Country Regional Economic Development Council." A trio of women's tennis players earned New York State Division III titles in Mendon, NY this weekend. The doubles team of Elkie Vandenbeemt '15 and Hillary Drewry '12 won the first doubles crown, while Olivia Arroyo '15 won at third singles for the Saints. Men's soccer continued its march towards perfection by beating No. 18 Union 2-0 and RPI 1-0 at MacAllaster Field. The Saints, now 13-0, are on a nine-game shutout streak and ranked No. 1 in the nation. Women's soccer beat Union 1-0 and played to a scoreless draw with RPI. Football dropped a tough 10-6 loss to Union on Weeks Field. Union scored with 3:12 left to play to take the lead and the Saints had a final scoring drive stopped deep in Dutchmen territory. Field hockey dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to RPI. Men's hockey continued its early-season struggles, losing 10-3 at Michigan and 6-5 in overtime at RIT. Volleyball spent its fall break in Texas and went 2-2, beating Southwestern Christian College and Dallas Christian College and losing to the University of Dallas and Austin College.
