The event marks the first official gathering of the entire class at the start of their time together at St. Lawrence. Michael Wesch, associate professor of cultural anthropology at Kansas State University, will give a talk called "Mediated Culture: What's at Stake?" on Tuesday, August 30, at 7 p.m. in Eben Holden at St. Lawrence University. The event, the Hays and Margaret Crimmel Colloquium on Liberal Education, is open to the public, free of charge.
