Vice President and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Jeff Rickey explained the value of a liberal arts education for the August 15 edition of the blog "Ask John About College," which fields questions about the college search process.
Thelmo President John R. (Robby) Glass '13 was quoted in an August 14 story in the Los Angeles Times, on how the economy is affecting college students and recent grads.
Mike Petroni '12 was interviewed August 6 on the WVCR radio program "The Green Scene," which is the radio station of Siena College. He discussed his efforts to save the Croghan dam, which arose from an environmental studies course.
Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Erik Backlund's planned study of community satisfaction in the Adirondacks was the topic of an August 10 story in the Watertown Daily Times.
Dana Professor of Economics Steven Horwitz was live in the studio for "Freedom Watch" on Fox Business on August 8, discussing how policies of the Federal Reserve led to the current economic climate. An opinion piece by Horwitz, defending presidential candidate Mitt Romney's controversial statement that "corporations are people," appeared in the Austin, Texas, American Statesman on August 14.
