Reunion 2011 A Great Success
The 15 Reunion "milestone" classes raised over $7.6 million, announced at the Alumni Awards and Class Gift Ceremony held on Saturday, June 4. The classes of 2007, 2006, 2001, 1986, 1971 and 1961 set "personal best" records, while the class of 1982 set a 30th Reunion milestone fundraising record. The class of 1982 was recognized as the winner of The Saints Class Gift Award, for most dollars raised, as well as The Scarlet and Brown Participation Award, for highest participation. The Class of 1946 was also recognized, as they took home the Honor Guard Scarlet and Brown Participation Award. Over 1,750 alumni participated in their class gift and over 300 alumni volunteers helped to make reunion a great success through their work on planning and development committees.

|Three Elected To Board Of Trustees At St. Lawrence
Two members of St. Lawrence University's Class of 2002 and a North Country businessman have been elected to the Board of Trustees. Terms for all three began June 1.
|Prof. Hauber Selected For 'Remix Culture' Seminar In Amsterdam
Associate Professor of Art and Art History Amy Hauber will participate in a week-long seminar called Remix Culture, taking place at the Amsterdam School of Art in July. The seminar marks the beginning of a collaboration and research project with the school's chief researcher, Emiel Heijnen, and 23 other international artists and media art educators selected to participate.

|Jennifer MacGregor, who has taught a First-Year Seminar where she and students "un-plug" from the Internet and cell phones for two weeks, is among the experts quoted in a story about backing away from technology, in the Times of London's Higher Education Supplement, published June 2, 2011.
|Co-CIO Sondra Smith is the featured expert in the Chronicle of Higher Education's June 2, 2011 edition of the "Tech Therapy" podcast, discussing the importance of assessment in information technology. It was also featured in the June 3 "Wired Campus" newsletter, published by the Chronicle.
|On May 31, 2011, the Christian Science Monitor published excerpts from 10 Commencement speeches given around the country; the story included an excerpt from the St. Lawrence speech given by journalist Tom Brokaw.
